This image speaks volumes on the history of violence against the Black man. Violence, not only from a foreign entity, (the white man) but violence from his own brother! But “what came first? The chicken or the egg?” It immediately triggers an ongoing debate about whether they hate us because we hate ourselves, or do we hate ourselves because they hate us? Given the history of Africans being sold into slavery all over the globe and the genocide committed against them, I’m sure we can speculate about the answer…
